An experience you'll never forget

We want to make your stay at Mornacott an experience that will provide the happiest of memories for you and your family (or fellow holidaymakers) and make you consider a return to Mornacott for another break at the earliest opportunity. Often families wish to book two or sometimes three cottages as a group for a special celebration and we’re always delighted to make our entertaining barn, which seats up to 16 in comfort, available for dinners and lunches.

On the day of your arrival we will visit you to welcome you to Mornacott and to ensure that everything is to your satisfaction. Every cottage is provided with a comprehensive handbook giving details of emergency contacts and some recommendations of where to visit and eat out.

There are many activities to participate in at Mornacott should you wish to do so but we also understand that you may just wish to relax in a tranquil environment with a good book free from the hubbub of day to day life. The choice is yours.

Your cottage will be available from 4.00pm on your booked day of arrival (occasionally earlier occupation is available - please ask) and we request that you vacate the cottage by 10.00am on the day of departure.

Many of the on-farm activities that we offer are very popular (particularly in the summer months) and it is often advisable to book these in advance of your stay to ensure availability. A babysitting service is also available should you want to have a quiet, child free, evening out.

Barbecue packs of our own Ruby Red Devon beef are usually available as are our own pork sausages, bacon and lamb.

Heating for all of the cottages is provided by our biomass boiler which uses woodchip fuel sustainably sourced from Mornacott. Several of the buildings also have open fires and log burners and an initial free supply of logs is provided with further supplies being available for a small charge.
